The mansion house of Halswell (otherwise known as the north range) was built in 1689 at the beginning of the reign of William & Mary. The predominantly Tutor manor house was relegated in status to servants quarters, kitchens and supporting activities. The new building, considerably out of scale with its neighbour to the rear, was designed in the then fashionable style of the day and contributed to the status of the family who lived there at the time
Now, after extensive renovations lasting four years this Grade1-listed estate has been returned to its former glory and plays host to themed parties, wedding celebrations and numerous events befitting its splendid scale and friendly atmosphere.
